Hi!

I am having some trouble setting up reminders functionality in Blackbaud. Does anyone have any additional resources to help figure out what I am doing wrong? I greatly would appreciate it.

    @Ivette Leon Welcome to the BB Community forums.

    It looks like your post is on the grantmaking page. This is not a module we have but I do know how to do reminders for RE. Does grantmaking have it's own process? If it's reminders thru RE, this has some info. I always use ‘create custom data file’ as reminder type to access the fields we want to include.

    Hi David, thank you for reply. It's my first time setting up reminders for our program officers. I think where I am doing wrong is not setting the reminders properly. I created a test record to try it out myself but I feel like I am digging myself in a bigger hole. I keep getting a “no activities match this reminder” but I know there are a few open activities.

    One thing to remember when working with reminders is that they will only be sent against “any Activity or Requirement that does not have a Done date or Received date". If you're receiving no results, maybe check the expected results don't have a received date populated.

    Otherwise, maybe you can post a screen-shot of the reminder set-up you've created and we can take a look to see if we can spot anything that is causing zero results.

    Testing reminders is always tricky because there is no sandpit setting or ability to check what will be sent before it goes out. You end up having to test on live records which is not ideal (if any Blackbaud folk are reading I raised an idea about this ;-) https://bbgm.ideas.aha.io/ideas/GMK-I-1641 )

    We have recently started using Reminders and ours kept on failing. Turned out it was linked to some settings in the back end which Blackbaud needed to amend so it might also be worth reaching out to your support team to ask them to check this also.
