How do you flag phone numbers for the deaf?

There doesn't seem to be an option to add a TTY number for our deaf community members. What's your workaround?

  • @Susan Blaisdell to pure brute force this I would add a custom field

    core→ settings → general settings → custom fields

    However this would display the phone number in a different spot under the persons name in “General Information” rather than in a uniform spot with everyone else's phone records

    you would still be able to create lists with this field included and then export as needed.

    My eye keep getting drawn to core→ settings → general settings → table values

    maybe your system has a phone type table mine does not and I am unsure of how to implement the table after I have created with the desired phone type values.

    Under Core - Settings - General Settings - Table Values - Online Presence Type you can add TTY.

    Now you add it to a record in the Digital section:

    Select Online Presence
    1cad188d396f35ce15aaeec16c6c8b3a-huge-op
    Choose TTY

    I have other options there. But, this option will keep it in the same areas as the phone numbers.
