Publishable Fields: Manually Updating / Not Showing Up

We are still in the implementation phase; however I am manually updated our current system and Blackbaud at the same time.

I need to update the name and phone number of people allowed to pick up a student in Blackbaud. I have the publishable field set up; however we have not had families complete any forms yet and the publishable fields are not showing up under the Contact Card.

How do I get the publishable fields to display in the profile?

  • @Jennifer Miller so once the data gets input into the field it will start to show up in the Contact Card. However, only those with the proper roles will be able to see that info when it shows up. For example, a teacher, with only their “Teacher” roles and permissions, will not be able to see that info even if there is info in the field. If you would like all teachers, or even a select few faculty members to be able to see that field. My recommendation would be to give those that you would like be able to see the info, the role of “Emergency Contact Viewer”

  • @Jennifer Miller the field needs to have data in it to show on the contact card. You can give access for others to see this field in the Profile Access area, we publish our Publishable fields to Teachers &/or Staff depending on the field. The Admin view only fields require a role to see those.

    I'm a Systems Admin and cannot see the fields. Any ideas why that might be?

    We have gone through many renditions of where to store our student Authorized Pick ups. You may want to consider combining Emergency Contact's and Authorized Pick ups in the same form. I add the following statement to our form. Also, parents can adjust them throughout the year as needed.
    If parents/guardians cannot be reached, individuals listed below are approved to act on your behalf in the event of an emergency and authorized to pick up your child.
