Optimized Donation Form Unworkable Due to Load Times

Hi all,

We would like to transition to optimized donation forms, but we're running into an issue where the link code provided tries to reload the page and this is unexpected/unintuitive behavior and slow as molasses to boot. The button code provided launches the donation form instantly, but we can't style the button to fit the design language of our website. I am wondering if there is a workaround someone has found to be able to link an image to the optimized donation form where it pops up immediately as one would expect.

    For visibility, I'm posting where we ended up offline for a solution to this.

    There are 2 methods to having the optimized form load over your webpage:
    1. . You can use a specific attribute/property to your button or use the same attribute in a hyperlink (data-blackbaud-optimized-form-id="12345-abcde-fghijk-lmnop").
    2. You can add the formID into your url (bbFormId="12345-abcde-fghijk-lmnop")

    The second example above (bbFormID) is best used when you're wanting to ‘load and launch’ - that is, load your website page and then launch the form over it.

    Adding the specific property (data-blackbaud-optimized-form) is recommended for the most performant launch over your webpage.

    @Evan Webb, I'd like to use optimized donation forms, too, but we can only designate one fund currently, which is too limiting in many cases.
