How to Code Funds for Regular Donations vs. Endowed Fund for the same program?

Hi Everyone,

I'm working with a program that receives two separate sources of funding: regular donations that are used on a day-to-day basis, and an endowed fund that was recently created to provide long-term support. My question is how to best code the Fund ID and the Description categorizes for these two sources of funding in RE NXT?

I'd appreciate any insights on best practices for coding these two types of funding.

    The simplest thing to do would be to use Fund Category. Your categories could be Endowment, Unrestricted (or whatever you want to call “regular” donations). You can filter on Fund Category in web view Reporting and in database view. That should work.

    @Julie Salzman We would have different funds set up for these and we also have different campaigns, CU or current use and E for Endowment.
