Merging Records issues - Help!

Hi- does anyone have any insight into why my club type records will not merge? This is for membership and the constituents were set up as orgs. When they renewed dues they could not be found in the system to match up so I just accepted them as new bird clubs thinking that I could just merge them later and not lose any of the new data. Now when I try to merge the records it will not find the other record. This happens no matter which one I place first as the to merge one. I did name them diff as well. For example Raleigh-Durham Club was called RDC in the new record. I am not sure if it has to do with different record types or with permissions? I have all access and they both look to be org records. The original were imported in by our set up contact at BlackBaud. Help - any suggestions would be great. I thought i would try here before Chat as that always seems to take a long, long time to resolve. Thank you!

you cannot merge org to individual or vice versa. You will need to convert one of them to match before merge.

@Deedee Mader Do you have Luminate Online and the RELO connector?

Has this been resolved? We are having a potentially similar issue syncing Membership, but only for one record, everything else is linking as expected.

Hi Megan, I was able to merge my records. It was the case that one was an org record and one a constituent and that is why they would not merge initially. Once I changed one (in DB view) I could merge them. You use the top tool bar to change the record from org to const or const to org. I hope you get yours resolved too.
