Optimized Form and PayPal/Venmo Payment Option

Has anyone been able to add the PayPal payment option in the Optimized Donation Form in Online Giving? I've spent two days on the phone with PayPal and BB Customer Support and have been unable to set it up. PayPal support and I both think that the reason we can't integrate the PayPal Payment type is that the Optimized Form doesn't allow you to restrict the recurring gift option. PayPal is reaching out to BB to find out more. Someone please tell me we're both wrong, and that it works for you, and then tell me how to do it? I'll buy you a donut.

    @Amy Esposito Paypal will only show up on Optimized form if the donor selects a one-time gift, we have not yet done the work to allow Paypal to work for recurring gifts. Therefore, the donor experience if they choose a recurrin gift is that once the donor clicks into the payment method selection screen, Paypal will just not show as an available option.

    @Samantha McGuin thanks for chiming in. The bb case number is 020033872. I think it's closed now but you should be able to see the history. It's hard becasue we can't see the form work in test mode and don't want to push the gift live without knowing what it will do. I can set up a test site online, but haven't done that yet.
