Help with Blackbaud API Integration for Sending Group-Based SMS via Custom API

Hi Team,

I’m currently working on integrating Blackbaud with our own custom API to send SMS messages based on specific groups.

Objective:
We want to trigger SMS messages via our custom SMS gateway API when certain group conditions are met within Blackbaud. The SMS content and recipient data would be dynamically populated based on group membership details from Blackbaud.

Key Requirements:

Retrieve group/constituent data from Blackbaud

Integrate with a custom external API to send SMS

Questions:

Is there a supported way to access group or constituent information using the Blackbaud SKY API or any other method?

Can custom workflows or webhooks be configured within Blackbaud to trigger external API calls?

Has anyone in the community implemented a similar solution for external messaging or notifications?

I'm not sure what you are developing your application with, but Python can do this.

I have workflows using Ngrok for webhooks. Several workflows will send an email once it completes. You can use Twilio for sms or Pushover for push notifications.
