workaround so constituents appear more than once

we use a workflow to assign a thank you call for all gifts over $250. It has been working quite well. However, if Mr. Jones made a $500 gift in January 2025 and $1,000 in April 2025, he will not appear in the workflow because he is “already there”.

is there a workaround so that he would get a thank you call action for EVERY gift that is over $250?

    @Jack Silverstein - This is a major limitation of NXT Workflows, that a constituent can only qualify once. I recommend you take a look at Power Automate - you can automate your use case without band-aids or workarounds, and typically you can automate more than just this piece of your workflow.

    If you're interested in automation but don't want to build it yourself, there are Blackbaud Partners that can help like AutomateGenius.

  • @Jack Silverstein Try setting up a Gift list to use for the workflow. You will be able to customize the list to include all gifts $250 and over, that way it's updating by gift and not constituent. You should be able to have a donor show up each time they make a gift that matches your gift list filters.

    tried, but it wont let me select gift list in workflow — only constituent list
