Access to Assignment Rubric

I need to pull rubric assessments from assignments. I don't see an API endpoint that gives access to this information, but I'm new to the API so I may be missing something. The use case is we have a requirement for teachers to assess each student with a course specific rubric at the end of each unit. We want to be able to pull these assessments out at the end of the term and present the teacher with something similar to a gradebook, showing progression across units against different skills. It is conceptually similar to the CBE model, but we are not ready for the formal structure required to successfully implement Mastery.

    The School API does not yet have Rubrics available.

    We do have a project to build out the grades area, however. Is your current project looking to get the rubrics from the Rubric Bank? Our ability to fit this in may not fit your schedule, but it won't hurt to review the use case.

    Alternatively, if I could figure out a URL that would allow me to view just the rubric evaluation for a particular student and assignment, I think I could prototype what I'm trying to do.

    Ah. Specific student grades (whether for course or gradebook) are farther down the line, unfortunately. There are a number of things that have to be built before getting to that layer.

    I do hope to have more to show in this area in the coming months, however. So, keep an eye out.

    @Stephen Boyle, is there a way to get the rubric ID associated with an assignment? In the ON API, the Get Assignments for Class would return an RubricID associated with the assignment. I don't see that in the list definition for any of the SKY API assignment endpoints.

    Hi @Andy White,
    The Academics assignments by section endpoint was recently updated to include a rubric object with both ID and Description properties. I hope that helps you with your plan.
