Pre populated donation form or other solution?

Hi everyone,

We have an event coming up with a ticket reg form and fees associated. Sometimes people will confirm their attendance verbally or via email, and they wont fill out the form (and pay for the appropriate number of tickets). In these cases, we need to reach out and ask for payment in whichever method works best (cheque, credit card etc.).

I'd love to be able to email them a link to a raisers edge form that would have the total amount they owe - ideally as something i just enter to the URL like how you can add the appeal ID to the URL of your donation form and it will know to code the gift that way.

I don't think i've seen this before but if someone owed $1600, this example link would be easy to send over and have the amount pre populated for them.

ex - www.charity.com/donatenow?giftamount=$1600

Because it is actually for an event registration fee, it would be even better if I could send over the event reg with their ticket level pre-selected and ask them to just fill out the form. then it would link to the event and all would be well in the world.

All of this is obviously solved by having people just use the form we send them in the first place… but as i'm sure we all know this isn't always possible and people need a little nudge sometimes.

Another thing that would be handy is for when we add event fees offline for a person, being able to send them the bill via an email merge field. Not quite so technical as a full on invoice or anything but essentially transmit the same information just in the body of an email that says something like:

"Thanks for your support, your costs for the upcoming gala are:

[Event_Fee]
[Event_Fee_Outstanding_Amount]

click here to pay via credit card/googlepay/etc:

www.charity.com/donatenow?appealID=[customappealforthesefees]

Sincerely,

Charity name"

I could see those merge fields getting mixed up if someone had more than 1 event registration, but I guess that would be something to troubleshoot.
