Adding Thermostat to Donation Form

Hi all! Has anyone experimented with adding a donation thermostat to the top of a donation form?

RE NXT gives us the ability to generate a donation thermostat to track our progress towards a goal, and it also gives us the HTML to add the thermostat to a webpage.

I don't really have experience embedding HTML into webpages, and I'm wondering if anyone has experimented with adding the thermostat to the top of a Donation Form also generated by Blackbaud.

I'm hoping to not have to create separate webpages to put both of these on, so I'd love to get the thermostat directly on the donation form where they can donate to the campaign.

Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you!

  • I use the Web Component goal bar on a couple pages. I just copy the code for the form and add it before the donation code. It works well. This includes the goal bar: https://www.southern.edu/advancement/give/wsmc-give-now.html

both donation form and website components can be embedded to a single webpage, like what Candy said.

Assuming you are not also handling your org's website, you should provide the 2 embed code to the department that handles your website's content, they will know what to do with it.

Also just a note, if you are using Optimized Forms you can turn a goal meter on directly from the form's branding card which will include the thermometer as part of the branding card.
