How do I include multiple class years in participant exports for name tags.

With more and more individuals getting multiple degrees from the same institution, we need to be able to export multiple class years for name tags. When I add a primary alumni column and an education relationship column(s), the primary class year shows up twice, once under primary and once under education relationship. In addition to getting the primary class year twice, we also get blank columns for non-degree or incomplete degrees. Despite ordering them in ascending order by date added, they are often exported out of order.

Does anyone have any ideas on a clean way to extract this class information from Raiser's Edge?

    Attached your query to an export (do not export straight from a query). Chose the info you want, Last Name, First, whatever you want and the for the education, just go to Relationship, Education, then pick what you want, School Name, Class of, Degree, whatever. Your criteria for the number to export should be whatever you think is the most number of schools, degrees or year one person has. You do not need to choose the Primary Alumni Info, since that only pulls the primary and not any others, but the Education Relationship will pull all that info, including the Primary.

    Adding to what @Joe Moretti said, if you use the Status field to track things like:

    *Graduate (for students who completed their degree)
    *Current Student (for those who are currently working on the degree)
    *Former Student (for those who didn't complete the degree)

    you would then be able to filter on School, Degree, and Status to get the degrees you wish to include in the nametags.

    Please note that you can use whatever terminology works for you & your org in the status field.

    I have seen organizations hard code these as Add/Sals on records 2x per year after each semester/term based on the completed degrees.

    I'm sure that @Austen Brown can share a solution using Power Automate which could automatically update Add/Sals on a record to always have a current nametag type on everyone's record.
