Saving to Google Drive Share Drive with Power Automate Connector?

Does anyone have advice about using Power Automate's Google Drive connector to save files to a Share Drive?

@Dan Snyder , I'm looking at your post Sharing my Power Automate Flow: Save Emailed Gift Notifications as PDFs — Blackbaud Community. Was your file path on My Drive?

It seems the Google Drive connector only has access to the My Drive folder path. Attempting to use a folder ID to redirect to a Share Drive is not working.

  2. This reference says it is a known limitation that the Google Drive connector is limited to My Drive: How to create file on Google Shared Drive - Microsoft Q&A

I see these options and I am interested in the Community's opinions:

  1. Settle for using My Drive, maybe with a service account
  2. HTTP request in PA with custom auth flow
  3. Forget Power Automate and switch to Google solutions

    I have only been able to send things to a folder in MyDrive and then have a shortcut within the SharedDrive so folks can access it from there. I must admit I have not tried it in a while, but I am fairly sure you cannot use PA actions with SharedDrive, even with folder id

    my org does not use Google Shared Drive, so I do not have firsthand knowledge on this, however, Copilot tells this. Maybe worth trying.

    Shared Drives (formerly Team Drives) if your organization allows API access

    Workaround:
    Ask your Google Workspace admin to enable:

    Drive API access

    Third‑party app access

    Permission for the connector to access Shared Drives

    it is possible that Copilot is wrong.

    A way this WILL work is directly using the API endpoint from Google Drive API.
