Batch Happens: High-Speed Gift Entry in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT®

When I click to edit a gift batch that has come through our merchant services, I can no longer change the gift type from one-time to other. We do tickets sales through our merchant services and I do not want these charges to come through when I do my tax statements at the end of the year. Unfortunately we do have some donations that go to the same fund/project so I can't just filter that project out. I used to be able to do this, not sure why it has changed.

Did a batch of credit cards using the grid, clicked save. Looks like it ran the credit cards as I see them in transaction list in BBMS but there are exceptions on each gift saying "The specified gift origin "BatchGridEntry'is not in a valid JSON format." Can someone help me understand what to fix? @Anthony Gallo

In database batch entry, we have access to the Gift Note fields. We use these instead of custom fields when it comes to InKind entry. It would be helpful to have access to gift note entry both within the web batch grid, and in NXT gift records themselves. Unless I'm missing it, it appears as if gift notes can only be entered via the database view.

@Anthony Gallo any reason why this happens to the Comment field? It will randomly switch to a date-only entry in Grid View. When moving to the old form view, we are able to change that field to any value, but in Grid View, it will not show the non-date data. Upon testing, this only happens when each Comment is in this format: YYYY-MM-DD.

You beat me to the reply. Was just coming back here with an update. The original fix was to prevent any new issues and the team just rolled out remediation for existing affected batches. If you open that batch and save it again, it should clean up the issues and let you proceed.
