Using certain Addressee formats in NXT query outputs

I am working on transitioning my team to NXT-only and am running into an issue:

Our stewardship director needs to query constituents who are members of a certain group. We can drill down to that list, but she needs their Addressee to be in a specific format. Database view's Export module made this easy: you right clicked on the Addressee field, chose "Format," and got this box:

However, in NXT we can only choose the Primary Addressee, which is not formatted correctly for her needs. Choosing one of these Specific Addressees yields no results when we run the Query, because they aren't set up on those constituents' records:

From what we can determine, we would need to add a custom Name Format to every single member of this group to get to where we need to go—about 1,500 individuals.

Is there something simple I'm missing? Without being able to globally add a Name Format yet this would be a daunting bit of manual entry.

My suggestion if you have these records in a query would be to do a global add of the format you need to those records. This can be done using global change in database view. Constituent > new change Select Additional Add/Sals

Since RE NXT is not a full on product and still has bugs, I would not transition your team to do everything in NXT, stick with RE Database View till the bugs are worked out. RE NXT can only do so much and cannot do as much as the Database View. If you rely on only RE NXT, you will have issues.

It's definitely a phased rollout in my shop. Some things are baked in enough that folks can use it exclusively—especially the traveling fundraiser staff. The issue in this thread is something that I felt had to have a straightforward answer, or at least a workaround. I hesitate to devote staff time to putting in Name Formats by hand if we can help it!

Export is coming to web view relatively soon. If you'd rather not do the global add, you could keep doing your export in DB View for the time being and transition to web view once Export has been added there.

Nevermind, I misread your OP.

Your situation is donor who isn't setup with the specific addressee type in the record already, so my original suggestion wouldn't work.
