About Us:

The Quebec-Labrador Foundation/Atlantic Center for the Environment (QLF) is a not-for- profit conservation organization in the U.S. and a Registered Charity in Canada. QLF is headquartered in Ipswich, Massachusetts and Montreal, Canada. QLF has a staff of thirty with Program Consultants, a Board of Directors – U.S and Canada, Honorary Directors, and a Council, an Advisory Board. The current annual budget is $1.6 million; and the Endowment is $6 million.

QLF’s program mission is: With its roots in the Atlantic Region of North America, QLF engages environmental leaders worldwide to advance community-based and larger-scale conservation and stewardship of natural resources and cultural heritage.

Our Need:

Our organization is in need of a Development Assistant.

Responsibilities:

• Processing incoming donations for deposit and providing documentation to the Development and Business offices;

• Using Raiser’s Edge database software to input donor information, create reports, and generate mail merges for mailings.

• Assisting with assembling the Fall Annual Appeal with a great attention to detail and accuracy; and the Spring “Ask”.

• Other administrative duties to support the Development office as assigned.

Searching for the following Skills and Talents:

• Proven experience and proficiency using Raiser’s Edge database fundraising software;

• Excellent teamwork skills using verbal and written communication;

• Strong organizational and time management skills with great attention to detail;

• Non-profit experience is not required, but strongly preferred.

• A strict adherence to confidentiality in handling organizational donor and financial information.
