Is anyone else Wordle obsessed?
We've started a group at work where we post our results and talk strategy. For a while I found myself driving to work randomly thinking “Truck. That would be a good starting word.” So I'm wondering, is anyone else Wordle obsessed or is it just my coworkers and me?

YES! When I first discovered it … 39 puzzles ago … my friend asked me how you remember to do it everyday if it isn't an App with a reminder feature. I told him you remember because you wake up and grab your phone to do the next puzzle.

I just did my first Wordle after this fun post. That was hard for me, but I got it on my last guess. Thank you all for a new mind exercising game.

I haven't gotten into Wordle yet, but if it helps I can put a random 5 letter word in here everyday to help!

@Tina Pappas diabolical is the PERFECT word for Dordle … is there a 5-letter word that means the same thing, because it would be a great starter word.

Oh my goodness, yes!!! And now that you mentioned Dordle I have to check that out! My starter word is “Frost” - not sure why I picked that but it's what came to mind the first time I played and very rarely do I not get at least one letter from it.

Oh my goodness, so many choices!! I do Wordle every morning. I've “Dordled” a couple of times, I can't imagine Quordle! I think my musical daughter-in-law might get a kick out of Heardle, but I blew it on the first try!

I'm stuck on Elevate, Lumosity, and Sudoku. I don't think I could commit to a fourth app game every day. Sounds like fun, though … a more strategic version of Hangman's noose. ?
Of all of them, Elevate is my favorite – actually trains you in useful skills like mental math, syntax, and speed reading.

We're all playing Heardle now - there have been a couple of recent pop hits that I'm far too old to know, but I've got most of them so far although I'm disappointed that I haven't got any in 1 second yet.

So I have been converted to Wordle over the weekend. Thinking of this thread, I actually gave it a try, and am now willing to add it to my daily menu. lol
I played an off-brand that allows multiple word plays per day. Had excellent luck on multiple streaks beginning with the 2-word combo tears and bound, which together contain most of the most common letters of the language.
Can anyone recommend a good app version so I can download onto my phone?

Hi @Faith Murray I can't recommend a good app version, as I just have the page open in my phone browser and hit it up every morning. I just came to say the Sunday one was ridiculous. ? Also, I tend to start with either HORSE or TRAIL depending on my mood.

@Jennifer Vincent, those are great start words too! Hadn't thought of those. I think the game will displace my current word scramble – Wordle is much more addicting. ?
