Just for Fun: What's in Bloom?
Hi friends in the areas that are experiencing an early spring! What's in bloom? Here in Charleston, it's full - on azalea season. There is a layer of yellow on all cars and a slight haze in the air. But, the sniffles are worth it for these beauties. What's in bloom in your corner of the world or what are you looking forward to seeing in bloom?

Jealous! In Washington we are still deep in snow season but I see a few enterprising daffodils beginning to peek out of the ground.

Getting a mix of on-again-off-again cold and warmth here in Louisville. It's in the 70's today and I can see some 'lil buds on all the trees. But it could drop tomorrow, so who knows!0 -

Here in Surprise, Arizona we are getting a lot of rain and the desert wildflowers are blooming.1 -
@Crystal Bruce -Nothing blooming yet here in Southern Pennsylvania. I do have buds on my lilac bushes and hydrangea bush and the Easter bulbs are all putting in a strong showing to be blooming around Easter. Funny how they manage to bloom around Easter, no matter the timing of the actual holiday.

@Crystal Bruce I agree with @Christine McDermott on her thread- winter just decided to come to Massachusetts! I love all the ephemeral spring flowers when they do come- Crocus, snowdrops, scilla, bluebells…though the tete a tete daffodils may be my favorite!

@Lauren Henderson I learned a new word today! Ephemeral! And, I'm in agreement, so many of these spring beauties may be fleeting, but perhaps that is why we appreciate their beauty so much.

Still snow-covered here in Calgary Alberta. The annual “blooming” of all the dog-refuse bags will start shortly as the melting snow reveals these gifts left behind by neighbours who don't pick up after their puppies. Does that count? haha

@Crystal Bruce My daffodils are trying mightily to make their appearance here in Westchester County, NY. With the recent below-temps that we've had since they started to appear, I'm every hopeful that they will bloom this year.
