@Crystal Bruce I love pool time and I love being a tourist in my own town (Charleston)!

@Crystal Bruce
Spend time with family or friends is favorite. But if I have a day by myself, then I love going to historic homes and estates tours or art museums.3 -
@Crystal Bruce A day totally to myself (yes, please!) would be spent browsing charity thrift shops around Cape Cod. ?
4 -
@Crystal Bruce I love taking walks with my dog and hanging with my horse!
3 -
I like to make various plates of snacks throughout the day and see if I can read an entire book cover to cover. #thanksoptometry #badhabits #badeyes
3 -
@Crystal Bruce If it was today, I would be playing Pikmin 4 on my Nintendo switch!
3 -
@Crystal Bruce declare it a “pajama day” and read a book
3 -
@Crystal Bruce It's a tie between spending time out of the house with my family, or having the house all to myself.
1 -
@Crystal Bruce, Summer - hanging near water or picking blueberries with my loved ones, Winter - Playing Minecraft with my loved ones
Spring and Fall? being active outside.0 -
@Crystal Bruce declare it a “pajama day” and read a book
Yes this! Either read a book or have a really really epic game of Civ 5.
1 -
@Crystal Bruce…Imagine…such a wonderful mental image! I would spend the day playing with/walking my Rottie rescue, read/write stories, create coloring books/writing prompt books to sell. ❤️?
Note - this is not called a vacation which equates to additional work. This is called a glorious dream! ?

@Dana Burton Play tennis though my wife has got me playing pickleball now and that's fun too. If it's raining on my day off, reading a novel from a favorite author is always a good thing.

@Crystal Bruce I would wake up and watch a bit of TV with a morning cup of coffee, and then go have a spa day. This would be so relaxing and peaceful. At the end of my spa day, I could go to bed early, as I am a night owl so this would be a blessing. I think I need one of these days!
2 -
@Crystal Bruce I like to go for a walk, go to a Garden, or watch Britbox.

A day off, the possibilities are endless…
Do I go to the beach by myself and bask in the sun and read a book without interruption?
Do I spend the day exploring a museum and having a nice lunch?
Do I spend it crawling thrift stores with my cousin and catching up?
Do I have a lazy day, which means I move off the couch infrequently and binge sappy movies?
Do I have a supper productive day cleaning day with no one to get underfoot?
Thankfully where I work, time off is generous. All can be done eventually!

@Crystal Bruce
This summer, our agency is piloting 4-day work week, so I've really tried to take a ‘day off’ each week. It's hasn't happened every week so far, but when I do, I spend my day in my flower/veggie garden, lunch with a friend, or hiking.1 -
@Crystal Bruce
I would go to the spa and experience every pamper treatment they are offering. Then go to one of my favorite restaurants Spoon Atlanta for dinner, pick up a few of my favorite cupcakes from Endulge Cupcake Boutique, go home to a quiet house, open a bottle of wine and read a book or watch a movie.2 -
@Dawn Alonso
You are so right! The possibilities are endless! I am so grateful my work is also generous with time off. Selfcare is important.2 -
@Crystal Bruce
That sounds great. My best friend always tells us, we should be a tourist in our own town!1 -
Playing with my grandkids, fishing, antiquing, reading… can I have a week off?
3 -
@Crystal Bruce Read, long walks, cook and play with the grandkids too!
2 -
@Crystal Bruce
Dancing with my husband and walking my dog.1 -
@Crystal Bruce Drink coffee while it is hot and read books. Cap it off with a dog walk and my heart is happy!
1 -
@Crystal Bruce Sit on the porch and read, soak in nature.
1 -
@Crystal Bruce In a perfect world, I would start off the day with a leisurely cappuccino and almond croissant, followed by a stop at a local museum's new exhibit, early dinner at my favorite tapas place, and then a play or movie. In reality, I would be happy to read a magazine cover to cover during the month it was issued.
2 -
@Crystal Bruce if it's just me, I'd also likely declare a PJ day and read a book, hopefully on the deck while enjoying glorious sunshine and watching whatever wildlife ventures into our yard. I would hopefully have some very enjoyable drinks and tasty snacks, too. It'd definitely be a graze day; no cooking!
3 -
@Miki Martin, I can't agree more (except that being in Phoenix during this HOT summer means I'd take a little less sunshine right about now)!
2 -
@Crystal Bruce Lounge in bed. Play video games. Read. Take a bath. Take a nap. Catch up on some of the million shows I'm behind on. Go to the library. Take another nap.
Hey people who run P2P events, anyone ever thought of running a nap-a-thon? I'm so down for that.3 -
@Crystal Bruce Wow, the options are endless. Sometimes just depends on mood and the weather. Cold winter day, good movie while making jigsaw puzzle and drinking hot chocolate. Sunny, warm but not hot day, lounge outside and read a good book or go for a walk with the dog.
