What's New In Raiser's Edge NXT The Week Of February 7 (For Some!)

Published

This week, Raiser's Edge NXT updates with a trial run of a feature many have been asking for — addresses! (During the trial run, only some get the ability to manage address information. If your organization doesn't yet have this feature, don't worry! If all goes well, everyone will have it in a future update!)

a0b9dd83aa3329fac46b953959c8c12e-huge-edWith this feature, you can manage address information about your constituents and related individuals or organizations to help keep current with the best ways to reach them. You can add new addresses or share them across other records, such as a constituent's spouse or employer. When you add or edit an address, you can also mark it as Primary or Do not mail. To manage this information for a record, select Edit, Addresses under Contact information.

Admins! As previously discussed, you'll need to ensure countries and address formats are set up correctly in the database view to ensure optimal data entry.

For more information about this new feature, see the Addresses Help. To catch up on previous releases, check out the What's Recent Help. Enjoy!

Hey Heather! That's great feedback. For the first iteration, we focused on the standard information required for a mailing address. For additional fields like County, I'd recommend posting it to the Idea Bank to help gauge interest with others in the Community. Thanks!
Looks like the county field is disappearing?  We actually find that quite useful, so I wish it would stay.
Hey Bill! That currently isn't the case, but it's a great thought. May be good fodder for the Idea Bank. ;-) Thanks!
Steve, I noticed it's possible to go in and mark all addresse very easily for Do Not Mail.  I don't see anything in the documentation that states whether marking every address as Do Not Mail will automatically mark the constituent for Has no valid addresses.  Can you advise?  Thanks.
