Total Web Solution Update
We are thrilled to share exciting news about the Total Web Solution (TWS) for Financial Edge NXT! Initially planned for completion by year-end, we have extended the timeline to March 2025 to give you ample time to adapt.

Access to certain database view areas will continue through Q1 next year, ensuring a seamless transition to the new web view features.

Stay engaged with our TWS journey right here and through our dedicated Total Web Solution page, the upcoming Product Update Briefing (PUB), your monthly emails, and of course, the in-product notifications. These resources will keep you up to date on the latest developments and what's coming next. Thank you for being part of this exciting transformation!

Product Update Briefing (PUB)
PUBs are a great way to hear directly from the product management team on the latest and upcoming development for Financial Edge NXT! Blackbaud’s next round of PUBs are scheduled for November 12-14. Registration opens October 10.

What’s New
We recently released several new features in Financial Edge NXT web view!

Receivables

  • Manage additional billing item types. From Receivables, Billing items in web view, you now have the ability to manage and filter finance charge, refund, and sales tax billing item types.
  • Payments with misc payment features. The payment includes important data such as status, payment method, and details for the associated deposit. You can also split a receivable and misc payment.

  • Charges. You can now add, edit, and delete charges from Receivables, Charges and view their record pages in web view.
  • Settings – Default accounts. From Receivables, Settings, you can now select Configuration, Default accounts to designate specific accounts to use in distributions. Since the accounts you select impact your records and distributions, evaluate each setting closely.
  • Settings – Addressee and salutations. From Receivables, Settings, you can now select Configuration, Addressee and salutations to define the way client addressee info and salutations display on statements, invoices, and other correspondence.
  • Credit and Charge support Product billing type. You can now manage credits and charges with Product billing items.
  • Automatic payments tile on client record. From a client record, you can now add automatic payments for clients. Automatic payment plans provide an efficient way for you to handle payments for your clients. With variable plans, clients pay the entire balance due when statements are generated. For even greater efficiency, use EFT transactions to draft automatic payments from a specified bank account.
NOTE: Variable payment plans are currently supported. Fixed payment plans will be supported in a future release.

The following features are currently in Limited Availability (LA) for some customers:

  • AP: Recurring invoices
  • AR: Invoices
  • Add and manage PO receipts
  • Expense management settings – add approval rule groups in web view
  • Manage bank group security and assign users in web view.
  • Manage signature security in web view
  • Payables business rules and configuration
  • Manage account security
  • Manage project security
  • Add more line items
