Breaking Change Planned For Accounts Payable API

We plan to update the following endpoints:

  • Create Vendor
  • Create Vendor Address
  • Edit Vendor Address

The title and suffix values set with the Create Vendor endpoint or under Create Vendor Address or Edit Vendor Address endpoints will remain string types, but will no longer have their enum list of values associated with them in the swagger definition. Available values for title and suffix can be viewed from the Contact titles (List) and Contact suffixes (List) endpoints in the General Ledger API.

Your current process for creating address information will still work, but there is a chance that your financials system has alternate contact titles and suffixes defined in the database view.

    Objection! As in, "I object to these constant breaking changes, Your Honor!"


    It's very poor practice to be issuing breaking changes to a production API. You will kill applications dead-in-the-water. Please consider versioning.


    Also, only a day's notice on a breaking change??


    PS There was no email notification of this breaking change issued as far as I can tell. (We received nothing in any case.)
