Looking for the 'crosswalk' between a relationship and the reciprocal

I am trying to create a generic relationship import and I noticed that when you enter a relationship through the 'Add a relationship' data form, it will, mostly, automatically select the reciprocal type for you, depending on the relationship type that is chosen. For example, if the relationship type of 'Parent' is chosen, then the reciprocal type of 'Child' is automatically completed under the 'Individual is the:' field. How can I access this sort-of crosswalk so that I can use it in a relationship import? Therefore, if 'Parent' is imported in as the relationship type, then 'Child' would automatically be entered as the reciprocal type for the imported record.

Thanks,

Matt

  • Hi Matt,

In CRM, the most common relationship pairs become the default reciprocal relationships. If your organization has more father/daughter pairs than father/son pairs, the default reciprocal relationship when you add a relationship type of Father is Daughter

  • Is there a way to access the common pairs from our system in order to create a relationship import?
