I keep getting two glitches.


1) When I go back into a gift that was created earlier, sometimes it says final when I never select final. Then I have to undo that to make my addition. Why?


2) When I have created a report then go back to adjust that report's settings, I almost always get an error message saying I don't have authority to do that. Then I redo it again and it works fine. This is infuriating. Any idea what is going on?

    This might be something to reach out to eTapestry Support about with more specifics but I did have a couple thoughts on this.


    For your finalized gifts, are these gifts you are entering or are they being added via Import or a DIY form? I know that depending on the settings you have set for DIY form they may be automatically marked as final, such as this KB here: https://kb.blackbaud.com/articles/Article/119581.


    As for the Reports, when you say you go back are you using the Back button in your browser or are you using the eTapestry Navigation to go to Reports and select your report? I would suggest never using the Back button in your browser when using eTapestry because it can cause errors and to always use the navigation bar to get where you're going. If you weren't clicking back, then I think we may need the exact error language to try to look into it. But if that continues, I would definitely recommend reaching out to Support.
