Is anyone using (or tried) a CRM with Blackbaud? We are a for-profit private school, and the only option for CRM appears to be available for non-profit schools to use for fundraising. Overall we are looking to track leads, build a database, and also use the emails in the database to send email reminders out.

    Hi Laura,

    Blackbaud CRM is good at all the things you mentioned, but it is definitely geared toward non-profit organizations.

    If you were to purchase BBCRM, a lot of what you're paying for is centered around prospect management, constituent cultivation, fundraising performance vs goals, etc.

    If your for-profit school does significant fundraising to supplement your budget, you might find it a good fit.

    But a completely for-profit business (school or otherwise) would probably end up not using half of the features in the software.

    What tools are you using today?
