Founded in 1974, Second Harvest of Silicon Valley is one of the largest food banks in the nation and a trusted nonprofit leader in ending local hunger. The organization distributes nutritious groceries through a network of more than 300 partners at drive-thru and walk-up sites across Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. Due to the prohibitively expensive cost of living in Silicon Valley and the economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, hunger is at an all-time high. Second Harvest is now serving an average of 500,000 people every month, twice as many people as it reached pre-pandemic. About the Position
The Development Operations Coordinator will contribute to the day-to-day operations of gift processing, focusing on data cleanup, oversight of matching gifts, and data entry support. This position is within the Development Operations team of six, which is responsible for managing over 384,000 donor records and 216,000 donation records annually.

About the Position
The Development Operations Coordinator will contribute to the day-to-day operations of gift processing, focusing on data cleanup, oversight of matching gifts, and data entry support. This position is within the Development Operations team of six, which is responsible for managing over 384,000 donor records and 216,000 donation records annually.

- Data cleanup, ensuring accuracy and consistency: Run routine audits on donor and donation records, manage special cleanup projects to support to the transition to Salesforce, collaborate with the Development Operations team to develop and document standards for data entry, oversee record merging.
- Employee and matching gift donations: Maintain directory of social good platforms, manage the confirmation of matching gifts from corporations, assist team members with locating donation backup information
- Donation entry: Cover for team members, as needed, support during the very busy holiday season, assist in training and supporting temporary employees.
- Experience with Salesforce and/or Raiser’s Edge is desired.
- Solid computer skills and competence in Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-orientation, and a commitment to accuracy
- An understanding of fundraising and donor stewardship principles preferred.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form.
