Santa Fe Christin Schools is seeking an experienced, qualified Accountant.

The accountant will work closely with the Controller in all finance department areas and play an integral part in supporting the school's growth by ensuring accurate accounting and analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Controller with month-end tasks and reconciliations

Support accounts payable, invoicing, and other accounts receivable tasks.

  • Manage semi-monthly payroll processing
  • Reconcile and assist with reports
  • Continually identify opportunities to improve processes to support growth while maintaining a strong accounting control environment.
  • Provide support on special projects such as collaborating on accounting system upgrades, assisting with internal and external financial audits, and other projects

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience required, 3 plus years of related accounting or public accounting experience
  • Knowledge and strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and able to interface with all levels of the organization
  • Able to effectively work as part of a team toward meeting department goals
  • Deadline-oriented with the ability to function effectively in a high volume of work environment with critical deadlines and quickly adapts to new challenges or changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively or “out of the box.”
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work.
  • Self-starter who takes the initiative to start and complete assignments with minimal direct supervision
