Summary of the general nature and level of the job

Those involved in development work for South Dakota Mines create and cultivate relationships with alumni, friends, and industry representatives around the nation.

Off campus, we initiate, develop, and maintain personal relationships with people interested in the university. We promote their involvement with special programs to benefit the students and the campus community, and we help those we meet stay informed and connected.

We raise awareness of the many possibilities for making charitable investments with South Dakota Mines. This might include annual support, a multi-year pledge, gifts of stock or real estate, or a provision in an estate for needs on campus including scholarships, laboratory equipment, department support, general operations, and student organizations.
