Applications Programmer III

The University of Central Florida Advancement Team is powering partnerships and transforming lives through philanthropy. We are seeking an Applications #Programmer III who defines, develops, tests, analyzes and maintains new and existing changes within UCF Advancement’s #Blackbaud #CRM #database. These solutions may involve platform #configuration or #programming by other means to extend the CRM's usability. Responsibilities include creating solutions to identified business problems and deploying innovative solutions that can be handled within the database platform. This position may also liaison with outside vendors for solutions/configurations that are not chosen for internal development.

Remote work may be considered based upon specific circumstances & supervisory approval.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

#SoftwareDevelopment

  • Provides functional role focused on the design, configuration, and usability of #Blackbaud CRM to ensure the system is adapted for long-term utilization
  • #Designs, #codes, #tests, and #debugs applications that leverage the Blackbaud #CRM SDK and APIs utilizing #Visual Studio C# #HTML #CSS #SQL and other technologies.
  • Supports the team in understanding the full capability of the Blackbaud CRM system to meet user needs. Identifies when solutions can be met via platform configuration or extension, or when alternative solutions should be pursued.
  • Evaluates applications for quality assurance.

#SystemDesign and Improvement

  • Assists in identifying solutions to business process needs, either internally or via external resources.
  • Interfaces with Business Analysts and other team members to identify opportunities for system improvement.
  • Stays abreast of point-releases and configuration opportunities to inform how Blackbaud CRM can be utilized at maximum potential.
  • Participates in the #Blackbaud CRM client network to identify product direction and development opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with advancement CRMs or Blackbaud products
  • High degree of knowledge in systems analysis and design techniques.
  • Strong experience with programming languages: Visual Studio, C#, HTML, CSS, SQL.
  • Ability to coordinate and participate in computer systems development.
  • Ability to communicate with colleagues across Advancement and be able to demonstrate effective teaching techniques in presenting new systems.
  • Some familiarity with SQL Server, MS Access or other database design and development environments.
