Data and Analytics Manager - University of MS Medical Center - Jackson, MS

Job Summary:

Manages donor-related information, including the relationship management system/database for all fundraising efforts. Serves as the resident expert in said database, with advanced proficiency in all modules, functions, and features. Provide support to the office of development staff by creating and running statistical, analytical, and financial reports; training and implementing data standards and procedures; development and implementation of policies and procedures to streamline and guide data entry. Work with other programs/software and screening tools designed to conduct ongoing research to identify prospects including wealth screening and patient information. Leads and supervises projects and initiatives using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques in efforts to uncover optimization opportunities and improve strategic decisions in reaching new donors. Provides performance metrics for required reporting to UMMC management and accounting departments as well as outside parties such as UMF, AAMC and case.

Education & Experience

Education and Experience;

Bachelor's degree in information systems, business, healthcare or related field and three years of related experience. Valid Mississippi driver's license and reliable transportation. Raiser's edge database experience preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Raiser's edge fundamentals certification preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts And Develops Projects To Analyze Data, Applying Descriptive Statistics, Data Visualizations, And Fundraising Performance Metrics In To Predict Future Behavior To Explain Trends For Internal And External Users.
  • Works Collaboratively With Team Members To Develop And Maintain A Well-Defined Tracking, Screening, Reporting, And Moves Management System Based Upon Comprehensive Research That Drives Cultivation And Solicitation Strategies For Donors And Prospects. This Includes Managing Portfolios Of Fundraisers, Assigning/Reassigning Prospects/Donors, Working With Gift Officers On Timing/Tracking Of Solicitation Proposals.
  • Monitors The Integrity Of The Information Contained In The Database And Determines How To Translate Data Into Usable, Actionable Information For The Formation And Execution Of Fundraising Strategies And Metrics; Takes Leadership Role In Data Integrity Meetings.
  • Supervises Personnel With Database Responsibilities For Creating And Updating Records, Running Queries, And Responding To Information Requests. Prioritizes These Tasks To Ensure Data Is Being Disseminated In An Efficient And Timely Manner.
  • Manages The Office Of Development Database As A Super User To Include: Report Writing, Training, Querying, Export / Import Of Data Ensuring The Integrity Of The System.
  • Works With Information Systems, Vendors And Users To Find The Best Technological Means To Meet The Business Needs Of The Office Of Institutional Advancement.
  • Provides Full Oversight For Tracking All Data Resources Including Donations, Pledges, In-Kind Support, Cultivation And Solicitation Activities, Special Events, And Other Constituent, Gift, And Event Data Management.
  • Trains All Development Staff In The Accurate Use Of Data Entry, Data Management, And Reporting.
  • Maintains Confidentiality Of Database Records And Verifies That Procedures Are In Place To Protect The Confidentiality.
  • Performs Advanced Analysis And Updates Of Constituent And Gift Data; Is Responsible For Database Cleanup; Creates Complex Queries, Exports And Reports.
  • Collaborates With All Development Staff On Segmentation Strategies And Reports For Direct Mail, And Statistical Analysis Of All Campaigns.
