Viewing Fundraisers Created By Supporters

Hi all!

We have several supporters who have created fundraisers for our charity via JustGiving. However, we have no way of knowing what these fundraisers are until we run a donation report. Is this really the only way?

Also, I thought (probably incorrectly) that fundraisers created by others would show on our charity's page. If so, that is not the case/ not working for us.

Any assistance would be helpful. TIA!

You can enable emails to be sent to you for ever new Fundraising Page that has been set up. Theoretically, I've had this set up for years but it's always been hit and miss which is why every week I check the following:

    In Reports

Then you have either Fundraising Page Reports or Custom Codes

Fundraising Page Reports - you can just get a report of new pages over a particular timeframe.

Custom codes - this is the one I typically use, so that I can look at the information about the new pages within the JustGiving website and because we set up custom header for Fundraising pages - I can add in the soft credit and package information for each page (which will then populate the payment reports for us).

In that second section, you can expand the plus sign next to the person's name and it'll show their address and email etc. Typically, they show in the unassigned section first but since we've added the soft credit and package details on ours they are all “assigned.”

We don't use the JustGiving integration, primarily because we've used this method to “pre-code” most of the donations we receive this way for over 5 years now and with the number of anonymous donations and the way we handle them, it works out to be a lot less work for us.

Thank you so much for sharing. We will give this a go!

  • @Rachel Cavalier:

Off-hand, do you recall where or how you enabled this feature?

From the main page you land on after logging in: Settings > Your Email Preferences > scroll down alllll the way to the bottom where the edit button for email preferences and you get a form for email preferences.

Now… I don't know if this updates automatically or a JustGiving Customer Support person receives it and manually updates all of this stuff, but that's how it's been as long as I can remember.

Also thank you from us forum lurkers who didn't realize this was a thing?

    You're welcome :)

Still check in on the website every week or two though - while I've had this turned on since I started working for my current organisation (8 years now), I don't currently receive any emails and we've never been able to figure out quite what was going on there.

If it seems like you are getting all the emails you expect, then no need to check!

    @Elizabeth Sarkady

Glad I could help! One of the benefits of working at a UK charity, where JustGiving has been around for years I think.
