Country names in letters

Is there a way to create a letter template that uses an account address but only displays the country name when it differs from the organization's home country? In particular, the majority of our donors are within the United States, as is our organization - but some donors are international. I would like letters for the international donors to include their country name but to suppress the country name from US donors. Thoughts?? TIA!
