Did you know that captcha and recaptcha were invented by the same man who invented Duolingo?

Or that every time you type text into a reCaptcha, you are helping to create a digital library of e-books?

Thanks for sharing! Very interesting - I had no idea reCaptcha was actually doing something other than annoying people who just want to get into that website they need ?.

I do find it interesting that creative technology people keep finding ways to get the rest of us to work for free. reCaptcha image identification is considerably more creative than self check-out at the stores, but, they're both impacting societal norms.
