Job Description:

The Associate Director of Advancement Services is the key role for managing data into the Raiser’s Edge from various systems at the college. Point person for alumni, student and parent data imports and updates. Develops documentation and training resources for Institutional Advancement staff including data glossary for all advancement data (e.g. constituent codes, campaign codes, etc). Develops dashboards, reports and exports for IA staff as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute the importing and refreshing of student, alumni and other constituent data (e.g. education, degree, career, and spouse info)
• Work closely with Alumni Affairs staff on reporting for alumni data
• Work closely with Advancement Services colleagues on database cleanup projects
• Provide documentation and training to staff members on the effective use of Raiser's Edge database and other relevant software applications
• Maintain data dictionary with relevant Raiser’s Edge codes for IA staff reference
• Develop custom dashboards and reports in Raiser’s Edge NXT
• Works with Assistant Director of Adv Services to develop best practices for data entry including gift, pledge and constituent records
• Provide recommendations for relevant Raiser’s Edge training to IA staff
• Work closely with Director of Adv Services on database integration projects

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree with five years of related professional experience required
• Experience with Raiser’s Edge database administration
  

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• Proficient knowledge of Raiser’s Edge database importing/exporting
• Expert knowledge of database management and data manipulation techniques
• Filemaker experience preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• High attention to detail
• Ability to manage large, complex sets of data
• Excellent problem solving skills
