exception display process and screens

Is there a way doing a global change and/or procedure to do a custom read from datafile (like bulk load), then update CRM tables with complicated logic, then render bad records (or all records) to the standard exception screen display already provided. Is there a resource explaining how to do it? Thanks, Bruce

@Bruce Boling there is using our Velocity tool. It's meant to do just this! Otherwise you have to write a custom process and specs for all of that. Global changes are slow and a good bit outdated.

I have built new nodes in the query tool. However, is it possible to build a node that when referenced will execute a bunch of my code that will do something like determine if two spouses are being returned in query and just keep primary spouse (eliminate non-primary spouse), or when one spouse is being returned keep it even if not primary. In other words, is there a way to execute my home grown code that changes the result of the query to my satisfaction. And there is no way the current nodes could accomplish this. This would be great if there is a way to do this. Writing an SSRS report is not flexible enough for users. I hope someone has an answer. Thanks.
