How to explain what Raiser's Edge is and does?

I need to put together a presentation for new staff explaining what my area does. I am the Database Manager and Database Administrator for RE & RE-NXT. Does anyone have something I could use? Or direct me on what to do?

@Jenny Marquardt My snarky answer is to take vacation for two weeks and let folks struggle with out you ?.

A more serious answer would be to use an illustration I once used in that the database and operations team in general are the center of a wheel and the spokes branch out and touch all areas of a fundraising shop. Like a wheel, without the center (database) it would not be able to function. This was a concept suggested to me by a consultant and I think it works well.

I am sure there are others, but a great question!

Not a wheel but the idea in an image and you could provide specific examples of how each group would not be able to complete a basic task without the work done in RE.
