This week, Raiser's Edge NXT announces an enhancement to the donor portal.

Email giving statements available in the portal (for those in the US)


Your donors can now email their giving statements to themselves in the portal. When they log into the portal, they can select Giving history, Email statement, and then choose to email themselves a statement for the last calendar year or the year-to-date.

Note: If the giving statement email is not delivered, you can still email the donor their giving statement in the web view under Fundraising, Giving statements.

Nice! We don't use the portal, but I'm curious if organizations can turn this option off, since giving statements contain Fund codes that aren't relevant to the donor but meant for an organization's finance department in many cases.

For our mailed statements using the canned database reports, we ended up re-naming our Funds to something donor-friendly. Makes life so much easier. Agree, though, I hope this feature can be turned off, since there are still so many other glitches to work out like gift vs. receipt amount, $0 posted gifts, etc.

Hi Sunshine and Faith - Great question! Donors will only see this new feature if Giving history is enabled for the portal from Tools, Settings, Feature Configuration.
