In Case You Missed It: Our Revamped Hot Fix And Release Letters

Earlier this month, I wrote up a discussion post that highlighted a recent change to our hot fix and release letters. With a healthy community and an active discussion board, it’s understandable if you missed it. So, just in case it did happen to pass you by, I’m taking the opportunity to place the spotlight on it right here one last time.

Many of you may already have seen it in the past couple of weeks, but we’ve completely overhauled our hot fix and release letters. In addition to the new look and feel, we’ve also added a number of new features to better improve your overall experience when reading through our latest updates.

Let’s take a closer look at some of these newly added features:

Print What You Want, When You Want! One aspect of these letters that I’m personally excited about is how customizable printing is. Right next to our archive button (called as This week) you’ll see a print button. Selecting it brings up options to either print out the entire letter or manually select individual sections. Only care about Academics or School website? With this newly redesigned letter, you can now choose to print out only those specific sections if you want.

Navigating, Enhanced! Part of the visual overhaul includes a newly added table of contents on the left side of the page. Not only can you select individual sections to be immediately taken to that spot in the letter, but a visual indicator follows you as you scroll through the page. Finally, you can switch between the release and hot fix letters as needed right from the TOC list. No need to navigate away from this page anymore.

For as excited as we are about this long overdue update, we’re not satisfied until it meets your expectations. So we want to hear from you! Feedback, comments, praise, questions, all of it.
