Blackbaud Celebrates Veterans Around The World

Today, for Veterans and Remembrance Day, we honor service men and women around the world for their sacrifices and service. Log in to Blackbaud Community News to learn more.“My heroes are those who risk their lives every day to protect our world and make it a better place —  

police, firefighters, and members of our armed forces.”


Those are the words of American author, playwright, and producer Sidney Sheldon, and they are especially appropriate today as we celebrate Veteran’s Day in the US and Remembrance Day in Australia, Canada, and the UK. 


In the US, Veterans Day is a day to honor the service and sacrifice of all who served. In Australia, Canada, and the UK, Remembrance Day is a day to honor members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty. Today we pay tribute to those who are currently serving, or have served, their countries.


As customary, to honor the service and sacrifice of veterans around the world, today our employees were invited to observe a moment of silence at 11 a.m., on the 11th day, of the 11th month. Some of our employees also shared special memories of their time in service. See them pictured below:
