We are a little more than one month away from October 1, 2021, which is the date that the classic view of Blackbaud Grantmaking will be shut down.

This post focuses on adoption resources available to assist in your transition Blackbaud Grantmaking in the new SKY view...We are quickly approaching the newest chapter in Blackbaud Grantmaking™: full adoption of SKY view. SKY view now encompasses all the key features of Blackbaud Grantmaking and, as we have shared with you over the past year, we are disabling Classic view on October 1, 2021.

If you haven’t done so already, you must take a few steps to allow your users to experience the benefits of SKY view.

If you don’t do this before October 1, your users will not be able to access Blackbaud Grantmaking until you take these steps.

Blackbaud Grantmaking in SKY view is a streamlined, modern platform accessible from anywhere, at any time, on any browser, and from any mobile device. It will literally transform your grantmaking, by making virtually every step in your workflow faster and more efficient. It has never been easier to connect everyone involved in your grantmaking programs.  

We are making the full transition to this next generation interface following Microsoft’s announcement that it is ending support for Silverlight, the underlying technology used by the Classic view interface. This means we must disable access to Classic view on October 1. Don’t worry—we are making this transition as smooth as possible by creating a simple process to get your organization ready to use SKY view.

You can use this reference to accomplish critical first steps to make your transition successful, which include:

  • Inviting all users in your organization to SKY view
  • Reviewing the differences between Classic view and SKY view
  • Understanding the streamlined workflows in SKY view
