Populating Classes for a New Schedule Set

Hi, I've been using the Blackbaud demo cohort to test attendance for development, and it seems the main academic schedule set ended on the 1st of August. Before, there were tens of the classes per day for attendance, and obviously now there are none. I tried creating a new schedule set that lasts for the next year, generating a master & student schedules as well as specifying numbered blocks, meeting times, and rotations, but I can't figure out how to make this schedule set actually start taking effect. It doesn't seem to show new classes in attendance based on the rules I've specified. Is there a step I'm missing? Thank you for the guidance in advance.
