Appeal Import Error - Record to update is for another constituent in raiser's edge

I have done hundreds of appeal imports (to add that we sent an appeal letter to a constituent's record). Suddenly, RE is telling me every single record on my spreadsheet is rejected because "Record to update is for another constituent in raiser's edge." The constituent IDs are correct. If it were a few exceptions I could see that. But every single one? I can't figure out how to fix this.

If you have the the Constituent ID, you can copy them into a query. You normally can copy 500 ID at one time and if you have more, copy those also into the query.

And if you use query in Web view, you can copy & paste 2000 ids at a time :)

Why don't you try doing this as a Global Add instead.

It would have to come from a query for a global add. Unfortunately, we don't have a query setup for this specific group.

while you already got this to work using Global Add, however, Import has its place for different use-case so it will be important for you to figure out why you had problem.

• Did you use Constituent ID but in the Import, did not select Constituent ID as identifier on the first tab?
• double check one or two of the constituent ID and make sure it is the Constituent ID, if you use RE NXT, there is a chance you may have confused "Constituent ID" vs "Constituent System Record ID"
