Restore Main Window

Is there a way to restore the main The Raiser's Edge window if it is closed while working on something else?

Sometimes the program is a little slow to respond and it gets closed when trying to close another window, but a Record window is still open. I would prefer to keep the session active instead of killing it and restarting each time.

@Lee Grisham, in database view? I just minimize all other open windows and there's a login screen for RE hiding behind them all.

If NXT, I am afraid I can't help you there.

@Amy Barker yup, DB View. It is usually only showing the one Record/Report/Query window and nothing else there. I don't think there is an icon on the Windows bar that allows you to reopen it either.

@Lee Grisham minimize everything else and you should see the log-in screen. Or try using TaskManager in Windows to pull that window to the front. It takes patience.

You can set it so non-supervisors don't get timed out. If I have something huge to run, I'll log in under a user I have created who has all the rights I need, just not Supervisor rights, and I have that box unchecked, so at least RE stays active.

@Amy Barker ooooo, how do we get this not timed out function? We haven't been able to find it anywhere.

As far as the login window, I'll try Task Manager next time that happens and see if that works.

@Lee Grisham it's in Business Rules in database view. Config>Business Rules> System Access Info
It's a little check box!
