With a fresh new year ahead of us, there are many great things on our horizon.  For example, did you know that a new rover is on its way to Mars?  Yup, it lands on February 18th.  You can watch the whole thing LIVE on NASA's Youtube channel.


Did you know that on October 31, after decades of delays, the James Webb Space Telescope, Hubble's successor, will take off on a rocket? It will then park itself on the shady side of Earth and help us discover even more about our infinite universe!

While we're on the topic of things shooting off to another level, we have to mention our top performers in the December Points-a-palooza contest. Dawn Schumacher was #1 with 26,784 points, followed by Austen Brown (23,839 points) and in third place Joann Strommen (15,920 points).  Altogether, the entire Community took advantage of the adjusted points and accumulated nearly half a million bonus points!  Please be sure to visit their profiles and congratulate them!
