Ways to open financial reports to only certain members in the team

I would like some suggestions on how to only give access to few people in the team for certain financial reports? Is there a way to do this in dbms or NXT?

    if you mean a certain "configured" canned report in RE, then it is controlled by if the owner allow others to have access (run access or modify and run access), not very granular to "who" can access.

    if you mean a specific canned report as a whole (not necessarily one that has configured saved as a report as mentioned above), then you can do that via dbview security role, For example, you can make a user not able to run any report or only able to run the Gift Detail and Summary Report.

    If you can build the report you're envisioning in Dashboard Builder inside of web view, then you can give access to only specific users. However, you're a bit handcuffed insofar as what you can really build in there. It is more flexible than it seems at first blush, but there are lots of kinds of data that are just inaccessible, or at least not accessible in a format that makes sense.

    You can get around some of that if you pay for Insight Designer. If you've ever used tools like Tableau or Spotfire, it has a similar drag and drop interface to build custom reports, and I find it very useful. However, there are still walls you'll hit in there, and certain data types just aren't available, which can be frustrating.

    If you haven't already, you can activate a 30 day trial of that tool and see if you can build what you are thinking of. It's maybe the only add-on that I actively recommend people get so long as you have someone on your team who's interested in building out custom tools. It's not that expensive, at least insofar as Blackbaud products typically go.
