County Tracking

Not having the county as part of the address in WV is posing down-the-road reporting issues for us. I'm curious if anyone has implemented a way to capture this data moving forward. I am leaning toward another Custom Field to house this but for others making updates when addresses change makes that another step to a different tile so I fear it will not be as consistent as previous since not in the same address area.

    I had this issue as well, as we have locations throughout Ohio in different counties. I created a Custom Field for County.

  • I thought of doing that, but it adds one more place/step when someone updates an address outside of that county or even state to have to remember to then go there to make the update as well. #technology

  • We tried using custom fields for regions, another field that is not available in WV. In addition to the issue Denise has noted—another place to update when updating addresses or when adding new donors that is not a natural location for addresses, not to mention that it's a separate tile from address where one has to scroll to and then possibly click through several pages to see it—custom fields cannot be used when creating Lists, you can't filter on them or see them.

  • I then thought of address attribute location to add, BUT, that is also NO LONGER AVAILABLE in addresses and we utilize that for many of our mailings through RE Mail. I feel so defeated some days when I thought NXT was going to do the exact opposite and make us even more successful in our areas. Oy
