We use ImportOMatic in DBV and need ALL the same features in Omatic Cloud. We have been through the training with the onboarding rep. They told us they cannot do the transformations we need them to do. We are looking for alternatives to Omatic Cloud that have the full functionality of Import0Matic in DBV.
We gather names at our events and enter those into the database. However, many times we have the person in the database already, but need to update an address, change a maiden name to married name, merge with another record, or some other detailed update made while importing. It is critical that we get to review the names being imported with possible matches and make a decision on the spot rather than looking at exceptions. OC simply overwrites our data or creates new records. This requires further clean-up and time.
Is there anything out there that would do the same work as IOM in the web view? We process nearly 12,000 names each year. We need to have some type of platform help us like IOM did.

    I haven't used their products but will be looking into it in the future, might pay to reach out to SmartThing and see if their products can do it.

    I am not sure I am understanding correctly but we use Importomatic and although it is far from perfect it does do the things I think you're mentioning? We have Review before importing ticked off and make decisions ourselves.

    @Lena Payne, in our case, everything we import would need to go to review which defeats the purpose of automation. We need the features that are available exactly as IOM works in DBV.

    @Lena Payne @Kerry Shippam Thanks for mentioning us Kerry. We do a lot of automated processing options with NXT, similar to omatic. However we build out additional features all the time so we could do something with names here.     @Robyn Swiderski Importacular Classic works exactly like that. Everything can be reviewed before importing. Importacular Cloud (which is currently in beta) also works like that and can also be automated. Either way. We get that it is important for organizations to be able to review data before it goes into RE. That is why we built Importacular Cloud with that in mind. (We have ported over almost all of our transformation functionality too - you mentioned that you would not be able to use IOM's transformations in their Cloud version)

    @Robyn Swiderski Charity Automator is a great solution for fully automating Data Flows between systems. With your comments in mind, Charity Automator is built for hands off automation which is not quite what you are looking for.

    For something more on-par with your needs, check out (our competitor) Importacular by Ziedman Development ( @David Zeidman ). Their DBV tool is very comprehensive, and they are currently in beta/early adopter of their webview/NXT version.
