Tracking user who are changing queries

I have a couple of people in the team who take in really complex queries and change them, which is causing reporting issues. I know there is a way to turn off the option under tools in the query. But is there a way to track what has already been changed?

  • Unfortunately not natively in RE. I'm not sure if there are 3rd party audit trail tools that would do that but even they will not be able to go back to events that happened before their installation. Sorry this happened to you. I learned the hard way to always lock my queries. It's now become a second nature for me so much so that I even lock down the simplest of queries. The other thing I learned the hard way was to try and train people that if they want to use someone else's query, save it under a different name (by adding their initials to the name for ex.) and edit away.

Like @Tatyana Leifman said, when I have a complex one that I do not want someone to change without my knowledge I make sure the 'Other users can modify' box is not checked. I tell them to save their own copy if they need it.
