Denying Commissions
Hello Altru Users!
Membership sales commissions are paid out 2x a month to our Ticketing Agents and other non-membership based positions who make a membership sale (Join, Renew, Rejoin, Upgrade, Downgrade, and Mid-Term Upgrade). We are able to deny commission based upon a predetermined set of data entry and order processing expectations. What would be an easy way to flag a membership's commissions as DENIED so when it is time for me to review the first 1/2 of the month's sales, those that are denied are not included in my query results, OR is flagged for easy viewing to pull from the commission process.

Hi @Scott Steffen! I would consider using a membership attribute for this. You can add the attribute to membership records and query on the value of the attribute. You can also add comments to attributes to include more information about why the commission was denied.

We ended up using Documentation on the order. By adding a Note, there is a type: Warning. We've enter a title of DECLINED COMMISSION. What is great is that there is the Regarding: dropdown option that references the membership sale. When I run my commission query this is an easy field to include in the results. I simply have to filter on that column in my Excel export.
